I said, “Christianity is not about what you do, but what God has already done.”

140 characters is limiting. I was trying to show that God doesn’t want us to be good, but receive the free give of grace. Jesus died (past) to offer us salvation (started in the past and continues in the present–what we call Past Imperfect in Greek). The fact that Jesus is coming back isn’t good news unless you embrace the fact that you can be forgiven if you receive Him and His forgiveness.

“Be prepared” doesn’t convey the “Good News” aspect of this message. “It’s already been done, just receive it” (which is what I was trying to say) does, I think.

this is in response to your response to ‘tweet the gospel’ http://www.brianbaute.com/?p=969. umm… i would challenge your thinking and say that it is not about what we can do, but about what God has done, is doing, and will do. God is working now, and God is coming back. be prepared.

There is something broken with your feed. I know you are using iTunes, but there are still some of us who do not use it (I use a standards based podcatcher – Juice). I haven’t received a podcast for months and today I got 5 or 6. I’m not sure if this indicates that you have fixed your problem or not, but I thought you would want to know. I would have sent you a note earlier, but I wasn’t sure if you were still producing shows regularly.

Yea. I’m basically as stage two. I’ve managed to avoid twitter so far.

And I don’t post much, because I really would like to be a stage 1 blog.

It is mostly hit and run posts with links, but occasionally, I spend some time on some real content.
