On today’s Tech Help for Churches, The YouTube one-click subscribe linkThere’s power in a subscription. When I was a kid, I delivered papers for years. I delivered them mostly to the same people year after year and I used to wonder why. They had cars. They could go buy them, but no, I delivered them for much less than they were sold at the newsstand.
[tweet “Why would you want people to subscribe and how can you make a YouTube one-click subscribe link? Click here to find out:”]It wasn’t until much later that I learned the power of the subscription.
Today, newspapers are going the way of the dodo, but subscriptions in podcasts and new media are on the rise.
Now, instead of going out to your front porch, you roll over and turn on your smartphone and find the news of the day, new media, etc.
So, how can you get people to subscribe to youtube? Make a link. Here’s mine: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=sempei13
It’s not hard, when you break it down: youtube.com, then what you want them to do (go to the “subscription_center”) and do what? (?add_user), but which one? (=sempei13 or whichever channel name). It’s just that simple.
