It’s funny that I’m such a big fan of worship software because I held back on it for so long. One reason was that I couldn’t see anything that it could do that Microsoft PowerPoint couldn’t. The more I’ve tested and used the various offerings from different companies, the more obvious it seemed to me that I wasn’t just a little wrong; I was very wrong.
There’s so much that modern worship software can do that I half-expect secular companies to start using it.
So, when Proclaim contacted me and told me about this feature, I was really excited.
You know that I started podcasting in 2005, but I’m not recording my pastor’s sermon and using that. I do my own thing. With that said, since I did literally write the book on church podcasting, I’m always looking for ways to make it easier and more reliable.
Proclaim has added a feature that does just that. Basically, you add a start recording event into the playlist and then a stop recording event and Proclaim automatically records the service between those two spots.
No one has to remember to do it; it just happens.
Additionally, if you want, you can upload the audio, paired with the slides from the service to your account with Proclaim and people in your congregation can watch the slides change as they listen to the audio.
Pretty cool. This is a feature that sets proclaim apart from other worship software, if you’re going back and forth between rather to get it or another software package.
