Our pastor uses propresenter to do his slide show during his sermon. At the same time, our sound crew is recording the audio in a digital recorder.  My question… Is there a way to merge these two into a single video file at the same time as he is preahing?  I know that with the software that I have I can take his exported slides and add them into a video editor giving each slide a time duration then finishing it by adding the audio.  The problem is that I have would have to time his sermon as he is doing it…  I keep going on with the steps but I think you know what I’m getting to… …to time consuming and not worth it just to link the 2 together.  End result is to give our shut-ins the ability to hear the sermon but, with our new pastor, he uses a lot of visuals and I would like to pear the 2 together.  ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Adam

Record the whole thing and sync in post (as you’re doing) or capture with QuickTime or other screen capture software and include the audio at the same time.

Could you do an article on a live stream system for church services for $500 or under?

It just occurred to me that I wrote this post back in November which (assuming the church had an adequate computer) could live stream for around $300.  Depending on whether the camera you have has a clean (no menus or overlays) HDMI out, you might just be able to get away with one of the capture devices I recommend.

Hi Paul,

I run the projection for our church and sometimes make my own presentations using ProPresenter 5. I have a presentation with sound I wanted to record. I came across your video about recording the output using Quicktime. There was a part of the video in which it appeared that you were doing something on another monitor or off screen.

Is it possible you could help me with this?  Thanks

So, do you need to record the output or the control screen (like me)?  If it’s the output, you need to click on the output screen to tell Quicktime what screen to record.  It’s just that simple.

If that didn’t answer your church tech question, then ask them below.
