ProPresenter 5 and 6 Tutorial: Formatting scripture templates
In ProPresenter 5 & 6, you might notice that there are two different text boxes for each slide. One is for the text and the other is for the citation.
So, how do you tell ProPresenter which is which when you’re formatting scripture?
[tweet “Ever wondered how to create a template for scripture in ProPresenter? It’s not hard as long as you avoid these gotchas:”]The first part is pretty simple. Once you add the text boxes in the editor, you need to go to the object properties tab. Now, under “Name,” there are a couple of options you can choose. Choose “Bible text” for the text and “Bible reference” for the citation.
Now, comes the tricky part. You might think that formatting scripture is as simple as applying the template after you’ve added the scripture to the sermon notes, or library. Nope.
Here’s how you do it. Change the template before you add the scripture to the current playlist or document. Then it should look exactly as expected.
One thing you should note. As of early July 2016, there’s a glitch in Pro6 that prevents this from working, so keep that in mind and keep your eyes open for an update that fixes it.
