…looking forward to this one ,do you know If propesenter would accept FireWire connected camera for live feed as an option?
Answer: Yes. Firewire will be SD only and will have a ton of lag, so I don’t think I’d want to do it, but it can be done.

At my church we don’t have a live camera feed, but use projector to display backgrounds and play occasional video clips; would you recommend I still run HD-SDI? Our projector is about 50 ft from computer so would it make a big difference if I went with an HDMI balun instead of HD-SDI to HDMI?
Answer: Either would work, but I’ve heard stories (from a friend that this happened to) where the balun cut out when the furnace kicked on. SDI is a more robust solution.

Answer: I’d get a distribution amplifier to split (okay, amplify and split) the signal at the source to give you a better signal.
