ProPresenter 6 Hardware: Choosing a Mac for ProPresenter
Once you’ve decided to go Mac for ProPresenter, there are still more decisions to make.
Apple computers are premium boxes. Often, their processors are only found in high-end gaming or 3D rendering boxes on the Windows side of the aisle. As such, the $300 PC of the week will be a tempting choice when you compare it to a new Mac.
There are options though.

With the specs you need in mind, stop by this site to see when Macs with those specs were first sold. That will give you a range of possible machines you can use.
Armed with that information, check MacofAllTrades for some good used options.
If you decide to go with a new machine, always check the Apple refurb page because these machines have been thoroughly tested and are less expensive than new machines, which is a win/win.
