ProPresenter 6 Tutorial: Converting lyrics from other worship software
Maybe you’re moving to ProPresenter or need to get songs from another church or ministry onto your computer, either way, here are some good ways to convert them for ProPresenter.
[tweet “Moving to ProPresenter and want to take all your lyric files with you? Try these tools:”]If you’re moving from EasyWorship 6, take a look at this tool (from James Inglis in the ProPresenter Users’ Group) to export your lyrics to a ProPresenter format.
For other formats, like ChordPro, SongShow Plus 7, SongPro, Plain Text, or if you want to just see the slides b/c you don’t have the software, try this site (made by Chris Barr).
You can, of course, export songs from MediaShout as text and import them into Pro6 (which, despite what I said at the beginning of the video, looks to be the best way to do it). So, for that software, no converter is necessary, although for larger databases, it could be a lot of work. In that case, I’d do them as needed until you got the 80% you’re most likely to use.
