ProPresenter 6 Tutorial: Using Masks
Whether you’re using an odd shaped screen, or doing environmental projection, ProPresenter’s mask function is right for you.
The mask feature, like props is a persistant layer that resides above the slides and background layers, (not immediately above, but above nonetheless).
[tweet “Want to use an odd shaped screen, or do environmental projection, click here for tips on using masks in Pro6:”]You can have multiple masks that you use for different situations and these can be changed by clicking the new mask, since only one mask can be used at a time.
When you’re using masks, you have a couple of options. You can create them inside of ProPresenter with the shapes tool, also rotating the shapes as necessary or you can create them outside in another program and import the png as a mask.
While some people would prefer to use photoshop, if you’re doing complex shapes or changing the masks often, consider a program like Masker-aid which makes creation simple.
